WOMEN ON A MISSION TO CHANGE THE WORLD

“Women Invested: Women on a Mission to Change the World” is a video series to help tell the stories of how women are creating positive change, both in their lives and in the world, through socially responsive and impact investing.

The hosts of the series, Carrie B. VanWinkle and Malaika Maphalala, are engaged in the efforts of women’s participation and influence in our field of social finance, which is an approach that puts social and environmental considerations at the heart of financial decision-making. Malaika and Carrie talk with women all across the spectrum of SRI: from investors, activists, thought leaders, and fund managers, to transformational business owners and even an organic farmer.

They’ve taken note of the growing conversation about women’s role in the economy, coming to the fore in a new way.  Women’s growing inclusion in business and the global economy has been the subject of some intensive long-term research projects. The data shows that when women direct investments or play a significant role in executive decision-making in business, it actually results in quantifiably higher financial returns and reduced risk.  There’s a lot to dig into and we hope you’ll enjoy the journey!
