Carrie helps inheritors and their loved ones take purpose-driven steps to achieve personal and big-picture goals, invest with impact, and define their legacy.

Carrie B. VanWinkle, CFP®, CeFT®, supports women, couples, and traditionally marginalized people to move through the experience of inheritance and more positively and fully engage with their money lives.

Clients frequently express relief at Carrie’s approach to setting financial goals, investment planning, and philanthropy, as she creates a supportive and judgement free process where they are able to truly bring their own values and voice to the process. She creates space for clients to conduct calm money conversations, make confident money decisions, and lead clear communications around money potential.

Trained to offer insights, support, and tools specifically for recipients of wealth, Carrie helps her clients achieve holistic money objectives, transforming the legacy they leave for their loved ones and expanding their social impact.

As a long-time Advisor with Natural Investments, Carrie supports inheritors and their loved ones to build a more financially sustainable future for themselves, their communities, and future generations – through socially responsible and impact investing.  This approach to conscious investing engages their financial resources to facilitate systems change that is critical to shaping the future we envision.

A decade in nonprofit leadership – activism, community-led change, and social justice  – continues to inform her work.

Prior to becoming a values-aligned Socially Responsive Investment Advisor, Carrie used her Master’s of Science in Social Work to lead nonprofit organizations through major community change initiatives.

Carrie’s personal and professional endeavors support healthy, sustainable local economies.

Carrie and her husband, Richard, have contributed on a local level with their passions for  beekeeping and home brewing. Carrie, formerly a sustainable urban beekeeper, continues to act as a honey bee advocate, teaching others about the importance of healthy pollinators to support local food systems.

Carrie’s leadership has included serving as the Founder of Slow Money Kentucky, president of the Kentuckiana Beekeepers Association, and a board treasurer of Breaking New Grounds, a non-profit that focused on ‘turning waste into wealth’ through a citywide composting initiative.
Carrie shares wealth-building wisdom on the Smart & Soulful Money® podcast.
