Gratitude to Andy Loving and Susan Taylor

, / By Natural Investments

Andy Loving and Susan Taylor started Just Money Advisors in 1993 with the purpose of helping clients integrate their money and their values. They joined Natural Investments in 2011. By the end of 2026 they are officially retiring as financial advisors. The impact they have made on this field will last for decades to come.

To describe Andy Loving in one word, you could use the word passionate. Andy founded Just Money Advisors 33 years ago with a singular focus on socially responsible and community investing. In prior careers he was a community organizer, a street minister, the publisher of a magazine, and a social activist—all vocations where passion is the key element. He is both a Certified Fnancial Planner® and an ordained minister with a master’s degree in counseling. This unique combination of skills helped in his  work with clients to incorporate their financial well-being into  the life they value. It has been observed that “Andy looks at money and imagines a way to create justice.” He has long been a strong advocate for high impact and community investing that focuses on getting capital in the hands of local people in under-resourced communities, both in the United States and across the world. For example, since 2020 he has facilitated more than $7.5 million in transformational deposits at Hope Credit Union, a Black-majority owned and Black-led credit union working in the Deep South to revitalize low-income and rural neighborhoods.

Many people who know Andy also know his life and business partner, Susan Taylor. Susan, who holds a Ph.D. in economics, left her career as a respected economist in commercial banking to join Andy in building Just Money Advisors into what it is today. Susan is a details person through-and-through, and she always made sure that the behind-the-scenes work was done correctly and thoroughly. Susan is also a writer and editor and has written about issues of money and spirituality. Just Money Advisors became a respected business serving hundreds of investors because of the inseparable work and qualities of both Susan and Andy.

Although they are retiring as advisors, we know with their deep commitments and generous spirits that they will continue this work in other ways. Susan will in fact remain part of the Investment Committee, continuing to research funds used in client portfolios to ensure they are adequately performing as well as continuing to screen their holdings in ways that are values-aligned. She also serves as the Trust Enforcer for Natural Investments, assuring that the owner of the firm, the Natural Investments Purpose Trust, fulfills its stated purpose.

A deep thank you to Andy and Susan for all the ways they have impacted our firm, this field, and our world! ~ The Natural Investments Team
